My husband and I are preparing to move to Montana hopefully within the next few years. As we look forward to the second chapter of our lives, I can't help but feel sad in some ways of some of the beauty that we have in Michigan that I will surely miss.
The one natural beauty that is at the top of that list, is Lake Michigan. I love Lake Michigan. I love the small and midsize towns that are lined up along the shorelines of Lake Michigan. Grand Haven, Muskegon, Pentwater, Ludington, Traverse City and Charlevoix are my favorites. I love the sandy beaches, the sail boats, the ships that travel the great lakes, the sandy volleyball games, metal detecting, camping at the state parks, and the sand dunes. I thought about how great it would be to have a romance in one of these towns, adding some of my favorite things to do and to capture the allure of small towns on Lake Michigan's shorelines. So, here's my heroine, she is a graphic artis, who's come back to town to take care of her elderly father. My hero is a former doctor, who lives in the cabin of his sail boat during the summer. They grew up together and used to date when they were in high school, but they went their separate ways after they graduated. So, here's my question to blog about today. How should they meet up after all these years? Where should the setting be? I have my own thoughts on this, but I wanted to give my audience a chance to comment and share some ideas. . . . . .
