![]() Falling in love is always a risk, and sometimes there is more than your heart at stake. In these four short stories, can loving be a risk worth taking? Christy has hidden behind a mask for a long time, but a chance at love may make her decide to stop hiding. Cady has known Jake forever, but suddenly the relationship takes a new turn because of a wild horse. Olivia travels to an island to decide if she wants to marry the steady, reliable man back home only to meet with a man who is everything she never thought she wanted. Summer becomes a trip into the past when Joanna's old flame comes back into town and she finds the fire still burns brightly. About the Author: I've been making up stories for as long as I can remember, starting with animal stories and graduating to an historical romance I wrote while in high school. In college I took several creative writing classes, and when my children were small I wrote and sold a number of short stories to Woman's World magazine. I've been a member of Romance Writers of America and Mid-Michigan Romance Writers for over twenty years and have written articles for chapter newsletters. I'm also concerned with animal welfare issues, and I write a monthly column called The Pet Corner. It supports ads for a local rescue group and humane animal shelter in a weekly paper called Mailmax. My husband and I met in high school when two rival schools from opposite sides of the river merged. We became engaged at the Grand Teton National Park (maybe why I set Chance's Return there!) and we will soon celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We live in southwest Michigan, near the sunset coast of Lake Michigan, and we like to walk our dogs, Zeke, a very exuberant Jack Russell Terrier, and Foo Foo, a crazy Pomeranian, in the park above the lake. We have some truly beautiful beaches here, and I like to visit them often to relax and find inspiration. We have two grown children and a number of granddogs and grandkitties.
